Redentore Utopia II marks a new chapter in Venezianico’s Made in Italy journey. At its centre is Marea (Italian for tide), a dial texture inspired by the constant movement of the Venetian lagoon, translating the rhythm of water into a layered, light-responsive surface. The colour palette draws from materials deeply rooted in the local landscape, recalling the warmth of gold and the strength of wrought iron. Developed in collaboration with Italian artisans and watchmakers, the project balances refined proportions, material research, and a restrained aesthetic, expressing a contemporary vision of Italian mechanical watchmaking.

The V5001 calibre evolves the V5000 by preserving its proven technical architecture while introducing a markedly higher level of finishing. Compared to its predecessor, it features double-snailing wheels and bridges and mainplate treated with a genuine 24k gold galvanic finish, adding greater depth and visual refinement. Radial Côtes de Genève and fine perlage complete the upgrade. Entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, it maintains a slim 3.5 mm profile, a 60-hour power reserve, and an accuracy regulated to ±3 seconds per day. Built for long-term stability, it incorporates a variable-inertia copper-beryllium balance with four masselottes, a double-anchored balance bridge, and KIF Elastor® shock protection, and is designed to be admired through a transparent caseback.

The decorations of the caliber are executed with an artisanal approach, conceived not as mere ornamentation but as a way to clarify and elevate the mechanical architecture. The upper bridges feature radial Côtes de Genève, enhanced by polished anglage along their edges, while the mainplate is finished with hand-applied perlage, visible in the open areas and adding depth beneath the moving components. The wheels adopt a double-spiral finish that gives the going train a stronger sense of visual rhythm, while the balance bridge is characterized by horizontal étirage, highlighting its structural and technical role at the heart of the regulating organ.
